I create and produce performances under the moniker, LVJ Performance Co., whose mission is to create performances that explore the theme of healing, of Self and Community. I have two pathways for work; intergenerational large-scale community projects (sometimes with my family band Yackez) and improvisational performances for dancers using my interdisciplinary practice, the Star Pû Method.
LVJ Performance Co.’s mission is to create performances that explore the theme of healing; of Self and Community. LVJ's creative works of dance-theater encompass movement, sound, song, lighting, set design, and poetic text and is devised to be of transformative service to LVJ, a disabled cancer survivor, their collaborators, the disabled, non-disabled, intergenerational community and audience equally. We are a project-by-project company that relies on residency and grant support to research and create our work via intensive residencies each yearly quarter, leading to performances of different length and scale.
